QAR- Question-Answer Relationships
CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RST.11-12.4 Determine the meaning of symbols, key terms, and other domain-specific words and phrases as they are used in a specific scientific or technical context relevant to grades 11–12 texts and topics.
Objective- You will be able to understand the different parts of Sonata form and be able to discuss them using QARs.
Introduction- I will use the digital story to introduce you to the parts of Sonata form. http://youtu.be/FZbXDDvYw1Q
Model- I will show how using QAR's can help deepen comprehension of a text, using the different types of questions as examples.
Guided Practice- Together, we will answer QAR's about the text and create out own QAR's from the text.
Independent Practice- I will break you into groups of 3 or 4 and you will answer and create QAR's.
Assessment- You will, on your own, create QAR's about the text. For each of the 4 different types of relationships, create 2 questions and be able to answer them.
